I had the very special privilege of knowing and working with David. He was a friend. No matter where you saw him he always had a smile and something nice to say. I pray that God will heal the brokenness that David's family is going through. Debbie, you and David were at my wedding in 2001 and you hand made me a dark green afghan which David bragged so much on you doing. I will always cherish that gift from both of you.  Glenna Lesondak, Hazard, KY

The first time I met David, I was fairly new at Ponderosa and I didn't know what him and Roy liked to drink. So when I went to get their tickets they looked at me and said, "You must be new!" I was new and I was really slow about the process and they were really calm with me. I did get the hang of it and I had the pleasure of being a waitress to them many of times. I always thought the world of David, he was kind and good natured. He always had a smile on his face. I will miss seeing him so much. My thoughts, prayers, and heart goes out to his wife and family. May God Bless.  Stella N., Hazard, KY

I have so many fond memories of Briar Fork and Coal Harbor Hill. Boo would stay with Tommy and Marvin back and forth from one house to another. Spending so much time at Uncle Dave's and Carl's and Emma's. We all grew up in hard times but what some wonderful memories we have. Boo will be missed so much. He was loved so much. I wish we could be there during your time of sorrow and heartache but present circumstances prevents that. Debbie, Glenna, Tina, Emma, Danny and all the family. My heart goes out to you. We love you. May God bless you and comfort you.  Maude Ellen Morris, Manassa, VA
