Dave Hammond returns as host of the East Kentucky's #1 call-in sports show on 100,000 watt WSGS. You can join the SPORTS 101 Listening Club by letting us know you tuned in to WSGS or WSGS.com. You can hear the show "live" each Thursday at 7 PM on 101.1 WSGS. You can also email us by clicking here. If you're a fan of mountain sports but no longer live in the mountains, don't let that stop you from participating in the program. Besides, we love those long distance listeners. WSGS reaches a million listeners and covers 40 Kentucky counties. The 100,000 watt signal reaches listeners in Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio. Through the years, WSGS has been rated #1 in East Kentucky by Arbitron with the largest cumulative audience of any station in the mountains. The station was the first FM in East Kentucky and most of our listeners grew up with 101.1 and have come to depend on it for everything from local news coverage to sports.
I tell 'ya what, it has been a long fall and summer without hearing Dave on the air waves. What a great sports show. I work night shift and this is the only way I can keep up with all the action.
